WOW Collecting School Supplies, Backpacks
See what items are needed and where you can drop them off. The deadline for donations is Aug. 28.
Wish lists have been collected and We’re One Wilmington is again providing school supplies and backpacks for Wilmington children who need extra assistances, as well as care packages for the school nurses.

Donations may be dropped off at 32 Ashwood Ave. (there’s a (bin at the front steps) or at The Cleaner Spot, 209 Main St., by August 28.

The following items (as much as you can give) are needed this year:
- One subject notebooks
- Three subject notebooks
- Filler paper
- Three ring binders (1.5 inch, with clear front pocket)
- Highlighters (all colors)
- Red pens, black pens and blue pens
- Pencils
- Two pocket folders (red, orange purple, blue, green, yellow)
- Boxes of crayons
- Packages of colored pencils
- Clipboards
- Pencil boxes or pouches
- Dry erase markers
- Pencil sharpeners (that catch shavings)
- Pink erasers
- Glue sticks
- Zip lock baggies
- Marble composition notebooks
- Children’s scissors
The group is also collecting box tops for education to give to each school’s coordinator, as well as boys and girls underwear and clothing for the lower level school nurses.
