New England dodged the potential for what could have been a week of wicked weather with Hurricane Joaquin moving out to sea, bringing us a sunny week with more seasonable temperatures.

And we are ready for it after several inches of rain last week and unseasonably cool temperatures.

Wilmington has some clouds to contend with on Monday, but after that it’s sunny skies for the rest of the week with temperatures in the 60s.

Here’s a look at this week’s weather:

  • Monday: Cloudy with a high of 62. Partly cloudy skies Monday night with a low of 42.
  • Tuesday: A mainly sunny day with a high of 69. Clear skies Tuesday night with a low of 44.
  • Wednesday: Another mostly sunny day and a bit warmer with a high of 72. Mostly clear night Wednesday with a low of 43.
  • Thursday: Yet another sunny day followed by some afternoon clouds and a high of 65. Clear skies with a few passing clouds Thursday night and a low of 41.
  • Friday: Sunny with a few passing clouds and a high around 65. Mostly clear skies Friday night with a low of 43.
