• 27 Local Firefighters Graduate from Firefighting Academy (thereadingpost.com) — Woburn residents can now count on three newly certified firefighters, including Danielle Crawford, who earned the class’s top student award at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. They completed a 10-week, 50-day program covering modern firefighting, rescue, and hazardous materials response. The graduates will bring advanced skills back to the Woburn Fire Department and neighboring communities. 
• Former Waltham Market Basket employee facing Superior Court charges related to stalking and extortion of former coworker (walthamtimes.org) — A serious criminal case has moved into Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn, where a Waltham man recently pleaded not guilty to stalking, extortion, and related charges tied to alleged threats against a former coworker. The case, built on police reports, text messages, and prior court history, remains under advisement for dangerousness while the defendant is held without bail.
