7-Month Route 146 Exit Closure Starts In April

Southbound Route 146 drivers will lose an off-ramp until November, according to MassDOT.

UXBRIDGE, MA — A southbound Route 146 exit will close for about seven months starting Monday for a MassDOT construction project.

Starting Monday and lasting through Nov. 1, exit 3 at Chocolog Road will be closed as MassDOT works to replace a bridge in that area that spans Emerson Brook.

During the closure, traffic will be directed on a detour to exit 1 near the Rhode Island border. From there, drivers can take Route 146A north to the Chocolog Road area. Drivers can also exit at Route 16 and take the road into downtown Uxbridge to link with Route 122/Route 146A.
