78 Grams Of Cocaine Trafficking Bust: Mass. State Police
Medina was operating on a learner's permit and both passengers had suspended licenses, said police

NORTHAMPTON, MA—A Springfield man is facing drug trafficking charges after he was pulled over in Northampton.
Around 10:12 p.m. on Sunday, Trooper Robert Berrenga stopped a red Chevy Blazer on Route 9 in Northampton for a motor vehicle violation. There were three people in the Blazer.
The operator was identified as Calvin Medina, 26, Springfield and the front passenger was identified as a 21 year old male from Springfield. The rear passenger was also 21, and a resident of Chicopee.

Medina was operating on a learner's permit and both passengers had suspended licenses, said police. A subsequent search of the vehicle prior to being towed located 78 grams of Cocaine.
Medina was placed under arrest and was transported to the Northampton Barracks, where he was booked. Bail was set at $1,500.

Medina was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Class B (cocaine);
- Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law;
- Unlicensed Operation Motor Vehicle
- Defective Equipment
