English Language Arts at Worcester Technical High School.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Caitlin, a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, is a veteran Worcester Public Schools teacher by day and an award-winning screenwriter by night. The Boston Red Sox honored her twice as “Most Valuable Educator." Caitlin also received the MTA Human and Civil Rights Award from the Massachusetts Teachers Association for her teaching and DES (diethylstilbestrol) activism. As a screenwriter, Caitlin has several feature and TV projects in the works including WONDER DRUG (www.wonderdrugthemovie.com), which she is producing with Stephen Nemeth of Rhino Films, the independent film company that originated as a division of iconoclastic record label Rhino Records. With this background, it's no wonder that Caitlin teaches a screenwriting senior elective at Worcester Technical High School in addition to traditional English Language Arts classes. She believes that education is the passport to a brighter future, and that works conquers all. Caitlin is certainly making a name for herself in Hollywood and the "HollyWoo" in Worcester.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Caitlin goes out of her way to encourage students to reach for the stars. She always tells them that anything is possible. Even the word "impossible" has "I'm Possible" in it!
