Car Rolls Through Stop Sign, Pulled Over, Cops Find Heroin: WPD

Two are facing drug charges after a traffic stop yields heroin and pills.

WORCESTER, MA—Two are facing drug charges after police found heroin and pills in their car during a traffic stop.

Around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, a Worcester officer spotted a Toyota Tacoma in front of him, the driver rolling through a stop sign at the intersection of Cutler and Dorchester streets. He pulled the car over, approached the driver's side and saw that the drier was making "furtive movements to his right side." A woman reached over to her left and leaned toward the driver, said police. The driver was identified as Richard Contreras, 25, Pine Street, Whitinsville, and the passenger was identified as Lydia Willey, 24, Simpson Street, Sturbridge.

Police found 12 pills in a glassine bag on Contreras that contained a Class E substance of which he didn't have a prescription for, and Willey had three bags of heroin. There were also multiple small bags of heroin in the Toyota - 13 in all.

Contreras was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class A Substance and Possession of Class E Substance.

Wiley was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class A Substance.
