WORCESTER, MA — Several warehouses off Franklin Street maybe torn down to make way for a new business development, according to plans submitted recently to the Worcester Planning Board

A company called DCCI Properties LLC, which is linked to the David Clark Company, has submitted plans to raze three empty warehouses at the back end of 356 Franklin St. — a complex of warehouses with different addresses that includes David Clark Company offices.

The razed warehouses would be replaced with parking lots. The plans also call for the rehabilitation of a building with an address at 348 Franklin St.

Demolition of the warehouses would shrink the site from about 166,00 square-feet of industrial space to about 63,000 square feet.

The warehouses inside the block at the corner of Suffolk and Franklin streets were last sold in 2019 for just over $2.4 million to a company called 346 Franklin Acquisition LLC, according to county records. That company changed its name in February 2020 to DCCI Properties LLC. Two David Clark Company executives are listed as members of DCCI Properties LLC, according to state records.
