WORCESTER, MA — Worcester's Regional Environmental Council on Friday will host a farm party at a Main South urban garden aimed at introducing local young people to agriculture.

The annual farm party featuring entertainment, food and other activities supports REC Worcester programs. Those include mobile farmers markets in Worcester, Webster and Southbridge, the more than 70 urban farms at schools in Worcester and the YouthGROW employment programs at two urban farms in Main South and Bell Hill.

Music will be provided by Against the Green alongside kids activities like pumpkin painting, tours of the farm and a raffle. Food at the event will feature ingredients from the garden catered by Peppercorn’s Grille and Tavern.
