Fatal Worcester Crash Claims Life Of Rutland Man
The driver swerved into the oncoming lane, over a guardrail, onto a lawn and into a house. He got out of the car and collapsed.

WORCESTER, MA—A Rutland man is dead after driving into a Worcester home on Saturday morning, according to police.
Around 9:06 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, police were called to Chandler Street, where a car had crashed into a home at number 578. Officers found a 25-year-old man about 20 feet from his vehicle on the ground being treated by Worcester EMS and firefighters. He appeared to be suffering from serious injuries.
The victim, who was from Rutland, was transported to the hospital where trauma surgeons performed emergency care but he was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m.

The driver had been operating a 1997 Jeep Cherokee, driving north on Chandler Street when he apparently lost control, crossing the double yellow line and heading into the southbound lane. The car then jumped the granite curb and across the lawn at 578 Chandler, crashing into the south side of the house on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Investigators say the driver was conscious after the crash, got out of his vehicle, and collapsed about 20 feet from the Jeep.
