GoFundMe Campaign: 1 Died, 3 Injured In Motorcycle Accident

The family went out for a bike ride on Easter Sunday to enjoy the weather. Their lives were forever changed, and one was lost.

WORCESTER, MA—On Easter Sunday this year, a family's lives were forever changed when a mother, father, sister and brother headed out on a motorcycle ride.

An SUV pulled out in front of the two motorcycles and struck both. Raina Goritsas, 18, who was about to graduate from North High School, died due to her injuries. Kyle Baroud, 21, was also severely injured. The mom, Effie Anifantis, also sustained multiple injuries, including broken ribs and a severe leg injury. Matt Baroud suffered a broken leg.

Now, family and friends are asking for help, posting a GoFundMe campaign this week to raise money for medical bills and other expenses they've incurred.

"Effie has always worked hard whether it was in the house or at her job," reads the GoFundMe post. "She has always been a woman to offer help, advice, or just a friendly smile to those around her. Matt is a man who does every job big or small, no complaints. He works hard to support his family. He is quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. Now its our turn to help them!"
