I-190 Lanes Closing In Worcester During Morning Rush

Two closures Wednesday and Thursday may slow traffic during the morning commute, according to MassDOT.

WORCESTER, MA — Drivers who use I-190 in Worcester will be in for some slowdowns on Wednesday and Thursday.

On both days between about 6 a.m. and noon, two northbound lanes will be closed over the I-190 bridge that crosses the Providence and Worcester railroad tracks just north of the I-290 split.

MassDOT crews will be sealing the deck of the bridge as part of a larger renovation, according to the transportation agency.

Although lanes across the bridge will be closed, exit 1 to Route 12 and Gold Star Boulevard will remain open during the deck sealing work.
