MA Democrat Running For House Target Of Islamaphobic Mailer
The Springfield candidate was the target in a flier that was mailed to residents in several MA communities.
SPRINGFIELD, MA—A Democrat running for representative in Massachusetts' 1st Congressional District was the target of an Islamaphobic hand-out that made its way to many residents in Greenfield, Pittsfield, Florence and Springfield, according to reports.
Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, who battles Rep. Richard Neal in the primary in September, said she has talked to people who received a two-sider mailer that depicts her holding a sign that says "Islam has nothing to do with it" and "Islamophobe racist bigot," reports MassLive.
