WORCESTER, MA—
Around 9 a.m. on Aug. 4 the gang unit patrolled the area of Lincoln Street and spotted a car swerving over the double line. An officer pulled the car over near Lincoln Square, recognizing the driver as William Guivas, 19, Fox Street. He knew that Guivas didn't have a license and confirmed it, placing Guivas under arrest.
When he removed Guivas from the car, he spotted a purple rubber handle in the door pocket of the driver's door. The item had prongs on it and appeared to be an illegal stun gun. Massachusetts General Law has recently been amended to classify stun guns as firearms.
