Man Faces Drug, Leaving The Scene, Charges After Fleeing From PD
When an officer recognized him, he tried to pull the suspect over. It did not go down easily.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing numerous charges after he hit a car while fleeing from police, ran off on foot, and police found drugs in his car.
An officer south on Channing Street toward Catherine Street on July 1 around 3:40 p.m. when they saw a gray Nissan headed toward him. The driver, Christian Pacheco, 27, Hunnewell Road, Worcester, was known to the officer from previous interactions. The officer remembered that Pacheco didn't have a valid license, so he turned around to pull Pechaco over.
Pacheco accelerated and took a left on to Northampton Street. The officer heard a loud noise, and saw a white Toyota with very serious damage, and a citizen claiming to be injured. The gray Nissan operated by Pacheco had collided with the Toyota at a high rate of speed, Pacheco and his passenger left the Nissan on scene and fled on foot.

Officers found what looked like crack cocaine in the car, as well as Pacheco's ID.
Another officer then pulled a car over for a traffic violation near Lincoln Street and Forbes Street, and spotted Pacheco in the back seat.

Pacheco was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a motor vehicle with a Revoked License, subsequent offense, Operating Recklessly so as to Endanger, Stop Sign Violation, Speeding, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, and Possession of a Class B Substance. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court. Both of the vehicles involved in the accident were towed.
