Murder Charge For Worcester Man In Fitchburg Killing
Michael Parks, 62, was shot and killed in the July home invasion, according to authorities.
WORCESTER, MA — Two Worcester County men have been indicted on murder and other charges following a July killing in Fitchburg.
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Thomas Martin, 45, of Fitchburg, and Christian Collins, 37, were indicted Friday by a grand jury on charges of murder, home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling, assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a gun without a license.
The killing happened around 9:30 p.m. July 28 at a home in Fitchburg along Marshall Street. Michael Parks, 62, of Fitchburg, died at a local hospital due to a gunshot wound following the home invasion.

Martin was previously indicted on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Early's office said. Both Martin and Collins were held without bail following an initial arraignment in August. They will be arraigned on the new charges soon, Early's office said.
