Possible Drowning At Lake Park, Worcester
The victim was found face down in the water shortly after 8 a.m.

WORCESTER, MA—A woman was the victim of a possible drowning at Lake Park in Worcester on Saturday morning, according to police.
On July 28 around 8:03 a.m., Worcester Police responded to 295 Lake Avenue (Lake Park) for a report of a possible drowning. Officers found a 37-year-old female face down in the water near the shore, located in the area where Coburn Avenue and Bridle Path meet. The victim was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:22 a.m.
Detectives responded to the areas and talked with two men who called police to report seeing the victim.

The victim was transported to the medical examiners office for a post mortem examination. Although the apparent cause of death appears to be an accidental drowning, the exact cause of death will not be determined until the conclusion of the autopsy.
The name of the victim is being withheld until all proper notifications have been made to extended family members.
