Shrewsbury Man Charged In Suspicious Lake Park Death, Worcester
The victim was found face-down in the water. A man has been charged with strangulation in connection with the death.

WORCESTER, MA—A Shrewsbury man has been charged in connection with a death that was originally a suspected drowning.
On Aug. 2, Joseph Dalrymple, 33, Millwood Drive, Shrewsbury, was arrested in connection with the death of Marlene Bleu.
On July 28th, Bleu was discovered face down in the water at Lake Park near Coburn Avenue and Bridle Path. A definitive determination of the cause of her death is still pending a ruling from the Medical Examiner’s office. Dalrymple is charged with Strangulation or Suffocation and was arraigned in Worcester District Court. The investigation is still active.

Initially, Bleu was suspected of drowning after two men came across her body floating in water near the shore around 8:03 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
