Toro Loco Taqueria Opens In DCU Center Restaurant Space
The former site of Glazy Susan and Figs and Pigs is now home to a Mexican restaurant serving lunch and dinner.

WORCESTER, MA — A new Mexican restaurant is open in downtown Worcester inside the DCU Center in a space formerly occupied by a craft doughnut shop.
Toro Loco Taqueria now occupies the restaurant space at the corner of Commercial and Foster streets. The restaurant, owned by Miguel Perez and Denise Medina, of Spencer, will serve food traditional to the Jalisco state in western Mexico.
"Growing up, I remember spending so much time playing in the kitchen while watching my mother and grandmother cook,” Perez said in a news release. "Their love of food and my love of their food inspired me to carry on the family tradition of bringing people together as a restaurant owner with a deep passion of serving the community."

The restaurant space inside the DCU Center was previously home to doughnut maker Glazy Susan, which closed at the end of January. Glazy Susan took over the space from the Figs & Pigs restaurant in late 2020.
Toro Loco Taqueria is open now, but will host a grand opening ceremony on Sept. 4, according to ASM Global, which operates the DCU Center on behalf of the city of Worcester.
