The preliminary investigation indicated that the two men were working for Pipos Tow Company. The 32-year-old male is the owner of the business while the 57-year old is an employee.
The two were trying to load a 1998 Honda Accord onto a flatbed truck that was going to be towed away, and during that, the flatbed rolled down Haviland Street. The owner of the truck tried to run after the moving vehicle and jump in the cab, and in an effort to stop it, slipped to the ground and was run over. The other man was on top of the bed of the truck and fell off as it rolled. He was also run over by the truck before it crashed into a tree.
