Walkers In Worcester Accosted By SUV Occupants In Separate Incidents
People out walking early in the morning on Worcester's west side were stalked and threatened Thursday, police said.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating two separate incidents this week involving people in a white BMW SUV accosting and threatening people out walking during pre-dawn hours.
The first incident happened Thursday just before 5 a.m. along Greenbriar Lane. Someone driving in a white SUV approached a woman out for a walk and demanded she get in the vehicle. The woman ran into a yard and the SUV driver left, police said.
The second incident happened right after when along Winifred Avenue. Likely the same SUV approached a man out for a walk and attempted to rob him, police said. When that didn't work, a person got out of the SUV and tried to grab the walker, police said.

"The male in the vehicle exited the vehicle and tried to grab the walker, who ran away and hid in a backyard until the vehicle drove away," Worcester police reported.
Worcester police are seeking any tips about suspicious activity in that area. Greenbriar and Winifred are both in the area between Pleasant and Salisbury streets between Bancroft Tower and Flagg Street.
