The daytime closures will halve a main east-west route near Park Avenue, according to city officials.

WORCESTER, MA — A major construction project will begin Monday in Worcester, partially cutting off access to a main east-west route.
A water line replacement project will kick off Monday around 7 a.m. along eastbound Highland Street in front of Doherty High School. During construction, the eastbound lanes of Highland Street will be closed between the Newton Square rotary and Park Avenue, according to city officials.
