Worcester Man Charged In Double Stabbing

The stabbing occurred in the area of City Hall, said police.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing two people near City Hall on Tuesday evening.

Around 6:40 p.m., police headed to Main Street where there was reportedly a stabbing near City Hall. The victim, a 32-year-old Worcester man, said the alleged stabber ran down Main Street. The man had been stabbed in the upper chest area, but his injuries were superficial, said police. The suspect had reportedly stabbed someone else.

Police found David Burgos, 35, Irving Street, Worcester, at the corner of Franklin and Foster Streets, and he was arrested. The second stabbing victim was at the hospital; he had been stabbed in the neck and was picked up by an ambulance.

Burgos was charged with two counts of Armed Assault to Murder and two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
