WRTA Makes Bus Schedule Changes As Drivers Seek Improvements
The schedule change come as WRTA drivers plan to picket in downtown Worcester over working conditions.

WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Regional Transit Authority will make a raft of schedule changes this weekend, including restoring service on some routes that got cut earlier this year.
The new changes, including some increases in service, come as WRTA drivers plan to picket outside the downtown Worcester bus hub on Monday.
Starting Saturday, the following changes will go into effect:

- Route 12 will add two new trips in the mornings and afternoons to North High School along Harrington Way
- Route 14, which had many Friday trips cut in January, will resume regular trips
- Route 30 will stop serving the former Showcase Cinemas parking lot off Brooks Street
- Routes 19 and 30 will provide extra trips to the TJX distribution center along Goddard Memorial Drive
On Monday, WRTA drivers will picket with signs from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. outside the central bus hub. The drivers will be asking for improved job conditions, including better wages, job safety and hiring additional drivers.
