
Is it time for an educational day trip but you don't want to go too far? The Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) is offering free admission to all Birmingham residents Sunday, Nov. 6 as part of its .
The free admission allows residents from participating cities to experience "their" works of art in person as well as check out the rest of the museum.
The DIA installed seven reproductions throughout downtown Birmingham and the surrounding neighborhoods in early October. In total, the program will bring more than 40 reproductions of the DIA's famous works to cities and neighborhoods throughout Metro Detroit.

Museum-goers are asked to provide proof of residency upon arriving at the musem. The free admission excludes special ticketed exhibitions and programs.
