The Birmingham Marian Mustangs won its 6th tournament title of the year at the 16 team Bedford "Spooktacular" Volleyball Tournament on Oct. 29. Â
Marian (56-13) beat Seaholm (32-15-3) 25-13, 25-22 for the hotly contested championship.Â
Marian was led by All-Tournament players sophomore Jessie Rae Kopmeyer with 55 kills, Miss Volleyball candidate; senior Mary Henry with 140 set assists/27 blocks, senior Kari Anne Fidelholtz with 44 kills and senior Kaleigh Pohlman with 27 kills. Â

Marian finished the tournament day 6-1Â also beating Monroe, Flushing, Lakeland, Ida and Ladywood. This concludes the regular season schedule with the Michigan High School Athletic Association State Tournament beginning Monday. Marian is the two-time defending Class A State Champion and begins tournament play Groves on Oct. 31.
