Nominations Sought for First Citizen, Business Person of the Year Awards

The and the Birmingham Eccentric are looking for nominations for the 2011 First Citizen Award, which honors individuals who have worked toward improving the quality of life in our communities, as well as the Business Person of the Year Award, which honors individuals who demonstrate personal and professional leadership within the business or nonprofit community.

The award will be presented at the chamber's 64th annual meeting breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. Dec. 1 at .

An entry form for the Business Person of the Year Award is located on the Chamber Web site at www.bbcc.com  and must be received by 5 p.m. Nov. 18. If you would like to nominate a leader for the First Citizen Award, e-mail Birmingham Eccentric Editor Greg Kowalski at gkowalski@hometownlife.com.
