On the Agenda: Board Members to Discuss Summer Tax Levy

The Birmingham Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district's administrative offices on Merrill Street.

Reports

• Debbie Piesz will report on the financial statements for the quarter ending Sept. 30, 2011.

Resolutions

• Board members will consider a resolution certifying the district's intent to approve a summer property tax levy of up to 100 percent of the school's property taxes for summer 2012.
• The board will vote on an award contract providing the district's bagged ice melt for the 2011-12 school year.
• The board will also vote to recognize the 2011 Millage Election Committee for their efforts in passing the district's operating millage renewal.
