Birmingham Bistro Confirms Second Location at One Detroit Center

Townhouse Bistro is opening a second location at One Detroit Center at Woodward and Congress downtown, according to an announcement on the Birmingham restaurant’s Facebook page.

The restaurant, where diners spill onto the streetside during warm-weather months at eat under giant red umbrellas, is known for offering Detroit’s best burger and is regarded as “the hottest dive in town,” according to the Facebook page.

The Detroit Free Press said the deal to open the second restaurant has been in the works for a year. Owner Jeremy Sasson told the newspaper last summer that the wide front plaza at One Detroit Center is ideal for outdoor seating.

The new restaurant is expected to be much larger than the original, which opened in August 2011. It sets 58 guests inside and 64 outside.
