'Boomer Summit' Focuses On Life After Retirement

Former Detroit Mayor Dave Bing is just one of a number of speakers lined for the event at Birmingham Seaholm High School.

BIRMINGHAM, MI — While everyone’s focus seems to be on Millennials these days, an older generation will be the focus of a Saturday seminar in Birmingham. The “Boomer Summit” will be held at at Seaholm High School from nine to noon and will examine how Baby Boomers can enjoy life after retirement, according to a Birmingham Eccentric report.

“Cris Braun, executive director of the Next 50-plus activity center, said the summit offers something for anyone in search of ideas and inspiration on how to navigate the next chapter of their lives.”
"Many people are retiring from successful careers, but how do you go from success to significance?" Braun said. “Whether you are soon to be retired or have been retired for years, Boomer Summit offers guidance to those facing the excitement and uncertainty of what’s next.”
