Find Easter, Good Friday Services at Birmingham Churches
Birmingham churches have dozens of services planned for the Easter holiday.

Area churches are celebrating Easter in a big way this year. Following is this year’s schedule of services across Birmingham:
St. Columban Catholic Church
- Address: 1775 E. Melton Road
- Easter Sunday: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.Â
Kensington Community Church
- Address: Groves High School, 20500 W. 13 Mile Road
- Good Friday:Â 4 p.m., 5;30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Troy location (no Good Friday services in Birmingham).
- Easter Sunday: 9 a.m., 11 a.m, 1 p.m. Service will also be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

St. James Episcopal Church
- Address: 355 W. Maple Road
- Maundy Thursday: 7 p.m.
- Good Friday: Noon and 7 p.m.
- Holy Saturday: 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Easter Sunday: 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Our Shepherd Lutheran Church
- Address: 2225 E. 14 Mile Road
- Maundy Thursday: 7 p.m.
- Good Friday: 1 p.m.
- Easter Sunday: 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will also be an Easter Vigil at 6 p.m. Saturday.
- For more: There will be no Easter Breakfast this year, but church-goers can enjoy a continental breakfast from 8-9 a.m. and 10-11 a.m. in the Narthex.
Grace Baptist Church
- Address: 280 E. Lincoln Street
- Easter Sunday: 9:30 a.m. (youth service), 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- For more: Refreshments will be served at 10:20 a.m.
First United Methodist Church of Birmingham
- Address: 1589 W. Maple Road
- Maundy Thursday: 7 p.m.
- Good Friday: Noon
- Easter Sunday: 7 a.m., 8:15 a.m, 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
- For more: There will two different services at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday: a traditional worship service and a "Shine" contemporary worship featuring "Risen: An Easter Experience."
First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham
- Address: 1669 W. Maple Road
- Maundy Thursday: 7 p.m.
- Good Friday: Noon
- Easter Sunday: 7 a.m, 8:30 a.m, and 10 a.m.
- For more: On Easter Sunday, the 7 a.m. service will be a "Sunrise Service," the 8:30 a.m. service will have Communion while the 10 a.m. service will be traditional.
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer
- Address: 1800 W. Maple Road
- Easter Sunday: 8 a.m., 9 a.m, and 10:30 a.m.
- For more: The Easter Bunny, named Jericho, will visit the Lutheran Church's front lawn on Easter Sunday bringing treats for kids of all ages.Â
Holy Name Catholic Church
- Address: 630 Harmon Street
- Maundy Thursday: 7:30 p.m.
- Good Friday: 1 p.m.
- Easter Sunday: 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and Noon
- For more: Holy Name will also host a Blessing of Food Baskets at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel on Saturday, as well as Vigil Mass of the Resurrection at 7:30 p.m.
First Baptist Church
- Address: 300 Willits Street
- Maundy Thursday: 6 p.m.
- Good Friday: Noon
- Easter Sunday: 7 a.m., 10:30 a.m.
- For more: There will an Easter continental breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Plu, members from the Second Baptist Church in Detroit will join Birmingham members for a special meal and worship service after Thursday's Maundy Thursday service.Â
