Score Jewelry, Coins At State Auction

The auction, which is part of the state treasury's unclaimed property program, starts Saturday in Lansing.

A Mercury dime. Comic books, baseball and basketball cards. Gold rings and necklaces. If you’re wondering what all of these things have in common, the answer is state of Michigan’s public auction of unclaimed property that takes place starting Saturday.

A slew of items – from coins, currency, jewelry to precious metals, stamp collections and more — will be available at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing, 333 E. Michigan Avenue.

The public can inspect the items from 3-8 p.m. on Friday. The coin auction will take place on Saturday and the jewelry auction will take place on Sunday.
