Vandals Strike Pierce Elementary School

Employees discovered the paint in several locations when they arrived Monday morning, police reports said.

Vandals marked several spots around Pierce Elementary School with silver and gray paint over the weekend, police reports said. 

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department responded to the school at about 8 a.m. Monday after employees found the graffiti on the west side of the shed in the preschool playground, two metal signs in the playground, and on the sidewalk entering the playground, reports said. Police also found paint on two entrance door windows on the school's east side.

There were no witnesses, and no suspect information was available. Police continue to investigate.
