Bloomfield Girl, 6, Drowns In Family Pool

Child Dies After Being Pulled From Indoor Pool

Jan. 11 at 8:50 p.m., Bloomfield Township police and paramedics responded to a report of a drowning in the 1700 block of Morningside Way in Bloomfield Township. The girl, the homeowner’s granddaughter, was found in the family’s indoor pool alone.

When they arrived, officers saw family members attempting CPR on the child, who was then rushed to St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
