Bloomfield Hills Attorney Scores Big Win For Accident Victim

AT&T Ordered To Pay Plaintiff Nearly $3 Million

Bloomfield Hills attorney Larry Acker won a major victory against a massive corporation last week. According to mLive, Acker’s client, 54-year-old Kevin Michaels, was clotheslined by a hanging wire and left severely injured and mostly deaf. A jury found communications giant AT&T at fault, awarding Michaels and his wife, Debra, $2,893,000.

"It's the right result for a badly injured man who was completely innocent," Acker said. AT&T disagrees, and tried arguing (unsuccessfully) that the wire that injured Michaels might belong to another carrier. The company plans to appeal.
