Bloomfield Township

Bloomfield Township officials scheduled a special meeting  Sept. 16 to discuss a pipeline project that will include presentations by township consultants and representatives from Sunoco logistics. The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Monday and Township Hall. Among agenda items are a swearing-in ceremony for Fire Lt. Nick Sesock and the millage rate for the Bloomfield Village Volunteer Police and Fire Department.

Join Diane Nine, president of Nine Speakers, Inc., a full service entertainment agency, to learn the ins and outs of publishing as she discusses her book "Get Published: A Guide to Literary Tips, Traps & Truth" at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Baldwin Public Library.

Vine and Dine

The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce hosts its 10th annual Vine & Dine gala benefitting Gleaner’s Community Food Bank of Southeast Michigan from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Neiman Marcus at the Somerset Collection in Troy. The event will showcase the talents of students from Oakland Community College’s Culinary Institute, includes a fashion show featuring Neiman Marcus fall apparel, and a chance to win a diamond necklace valued at $3,800 from Astrein’s Creative Jewelers. Tickets are $75 each, and special corporate pricing is available for groups of 12 or more.

Meet the new Library Director

Carol Mueller, new director of the Bloomfield Township Public Library, will meet with library patrons and members of the community from 4- 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss suggestions and future plans for the 50th anniversary in 2014.
