5 Things to Know This Week in Chelsea

1. Labor Day

Chelsea city offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day and there will be no mail delivery. Trash pickup is delayed one day.

2. First day of school

The first day of school for students in Chelsea Public Schools is Tuesday, Sept. 3.

3. Babytime

Babytime at the Chelsea District Library will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. It is the "perfect place to introduce your baby or toddler to the wonderful world of books."  Find more information here.

4. Bushel Basket Market

The Bushel Basket Market is open Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 2:30-6 p.m. Located at Chelsea Community Hospital, the Bushel Basket Market has been open since 2007 and serves the Chelsea Community Hospital service area.

5. Farmers Market

The Chelsea Farmers Market will be open on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 8 a.m. until noon.
