Chelsea City Council Approves Change to Trick-or-Treat Times

The council voted to change trick-or-treat hours in the city following a petition from local residents asking for a later start time.

The City of Chelsea approved a request to change the city's trick-or-treating hours for Halloween.

Trick-or -reat hours in Chelsea will now begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. following Tuesday's vote.

According to the Chelsea Update, the request was presented to the council by parent Danya Hallsell, who began circulating an online petition requesting the city change the hours, and more than 300 people supported the idea.

The city has maintained its trick-or-treat hours for more than 30 years.
