Faith in Action Food Pantry Donations Needed
The nonprofit serves Chelsea and Dexter and is in need of several items for local families.

The Faith in Action food pantry is reaching out to residents of Chelsea and Dexter to help volunteers restock the pantry's shelves in preparation for winter.
"Our food pantry has been hard hit this summer, with record numbers of people asking for food assistance," director Nancy Paul said. "In August alone, 150 food requests were met. We are 50 percent ahead of demand last year, not counting the high demand we had for food in the weeks following the Dexter tornado."
Donations of beans, cereal, spaghetti sauce, flour, sugar, cooking oil, canned soups, boxed side dishes, canned tomatoes, condiments and coffee and tea are needed.
