• CPD Weekly Report, Dec. 21-27, 2025 (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea residents should know police quickly recovered stolen Christmas decorations after a larceny on the 1600 block of South Main Street on December 22. A 66-year-old woman from Saint Joseph, Illinois was identified as the suspect, the items were returned, and the case is now with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for possible larceny charges.

• Andrew Blanton Named to Cedarville University Fall 2025 Dean's List (chelseaupdate.com) — A local student is bringing academic honors back to Chelsea: Andrew Blanton has earned a spot on Cedarville University’s Fall 2025 Dean’s Honor List by achieving at least a 3.75 GPA while carrying 12 or more credits. The evangelical Christian university in southwest Ohio highlights his achievement among its more than 7,000 students.
   

• Fatal House Fire In Scio Township Under Investigation (whmi.com) — Chelsea firefighters helped battle a deadly house fire in neighboring Scio Township, where a woman was found deceased on the second floor of a Wagner Road home. Multiple departments, including Dexter and Ann Arbor, responded Sunday afternoon, and investigators are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
