• Chelsea District Library Launches Jan. 31 Event for Young Families (chelseaupdate.com) — Young families in Chelsea can explore childcare, preschool, and support services at the new Early Childhood Resource Fair on Jan. 31 from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Chelsea District Library. Local preschools, social services, therapists, and county programs will be on hand to answer questions, build connections, and help parents navigate early childhood needs.
   

• Cardinals' Offense Scores Season-High 91 Points in Win Over Purdue Northwest (svsucardinals.com) — A Saginaw Valley State women’s basketball win prominently featured Chelsea native Megan McCalla, a Chelsea High School alum who scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. The Cardinals’ offense exploded for a season‑high 91 points, with five players in double figures and a dominant 39–19 rebounding edge over Purdue Northwest.
