Sheriff's Office Issues Warning About Suspicious Person Near Lima Township

Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies are investigating reports of a man soliciting homeowners in Lima Township.

According to a Nixle alert sent out at 3:30 p.m. Friday, the man is described as an African-American approximately 6 feet tall wearing a white sweater and carrying a small black notebook. According to police, the man is making contact at residences in the Thornton Farms subdivision and asking homeowners to sign an unknown document or piece of paper.

Residents are being asked to report all suspicious activity by calling 911.
