5 Things to Know This Week in Chelsea

1. Chelsea DDA meeting

The Chelsea Downtown Development Authority Board will meet at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Municipal Building in the Council Chambers, 311 S. Main Street in Chelsea.

2. Talk Like a Pirate Day

Shiver me timbers! Thursday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

3. Poetry reading

Karin Barbee will share her poetry during the free Writers Read series at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Brewed Awakenings Cafe in Saline.

4. Babytime

Babytime at the Chelsea District Library will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. It is the "perfect place to introduce your baby or toddler to the wonderful world of books."  Find more information here.

5. Farmers Market

The Chelsea Farmers Market will be open on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
