Clinton Township Man Robbed At Gunpoint

A 75-year-old Clinton Township man was robbed at gunpoint in his home early Tuesday.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 75-year-old Clinton Township man was the victim of an armed robbery early Tuesday morning. According to police reports, the elderly man was outside of his home on Webster Street at about 7:30 Tuesday morning before returning inside. When he went back in, the suspect pointed a handgun at his face and then tied him up.

Clinton Township Police said the suspect took guns, coins, and the homeowner’s vehicle. The vehicle is described as a 2017 red Jeep Cherokee Michigan plate CJZ 5010. The suspect is described only as an African-American male.

Clinton Township Capt. Richard Maierle said the 75-year-old man was unhurt in the incident. Police are asking for the public’s help in apprehending the suspect.
