Clinton Township Police Taser Teen Under the Influence of Shrooms

Clinton Township police used a taser to subdue a violent teen thought to be under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms Sept. 30 in the area of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
Police were responding to a report of breaking and entering at one of the medical buildings on Dalcoma when they came across the 17-year-old who appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug, according to the police report.

Witnesses told police they had been working in the medical building when the teen came in and smashed a painting in the hallway.
Witnesses were trying to restrain the teen – who was covered in mud, bleeding from the hands and yelling – when police arrived.

When police told the teen he was under arrest, he resisted, prompting one of the officers to taser him, according to the report.
When he was handcuffed, the teen began growling and gritting his teeth at police, according to the report. Police believe the teen consumed bag of psychedelic mushrooms prior to arriving at the medical building.
The teen was arrested for disorderly conduct and breaking and entering, according to the police report.
