Clinton Township Senior Center Celebrates 30 Years of Service
A re-dedication ceremony for the center will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 4.
Home to spa services, card clubs, a fitness center and dozens of weekly events, the Clinton Township Senior Adult Life Center has become a vital resource in the 55 plus community over the past 30 years.
This month, in conjunction with its popular Oktoberfest, the center will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
“Senior centers play a vital role in keeping the 55+ population in our community involved, vibrant and independent,” said Matt Makowski, senior center director. “Volunteer opportunities provide a great venue for special talents and skills to be utilized.”

Catering to around 200 visitors daily, the center has added an array of services over the past three decades, ranging from support programs for various medical conditions and computer training, to massage therapy and Medicare/Medicaid assistance.
Through the fund-raising efforts of the Friends of the Clinton Township Senior Center, the facility has been able to purchase and install a state-of-the-art entertainment system as well as a baby grand player piano and organ, while the center's senior sports program gave 13 seniors the opportunity to win medals at the 2012 Michigan Senior Summer Olympics.
