It's homecoming weekend for Chippewa Valley High School and the Big Rids have a full schedule of activities, starting with a parade down Romeo Plank Road Friday.

The parade starts at 4:30 p.m. from the corner of Canal and Romeo Plank near St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church. The floats, court, marching band and fans will then head north on Romeo Plank to Greenfield, where they will enter the stadium.

Portions of Romeo Plank and Greenfield will be closed during the parade.

The Big Reds then (5-1) take on the Stevenson Titans (5-1) at 7 p.m.

During Friday's game, the school will also crown its 2012 homecoming court, which includes:

The Chippewa Valley homecoming dance is Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., at the high school on 19 Mile Road.

For those planning to host post-dance parties Saturday, Michigan law enforcement reminds that serving alcohol to minors is illegal and can result in fines up to $1,000 or 90 days in jail. Additionally, parents can be sued if they give alcohol to a minor and that minor is injured in any way.
