Investigation Into Death of Freddy’s Bar Owner Hinges on Toxicology Reports
Frederick Craprotta, the 44-year-old owner of Freddy’s Bar, was found dead Sept. 11 in his Clinton Township apartment, according to Clinton Township police. Det. Capt. Richard Maierle said an autopsy revealed there were no signs of trauma to the body, but police are still waiting on the results of toxicology reports to determine the cause of death and close the case. The future of Freddy's Bar is unknown at this time.

Several apartments were significantly damaged or altogether destroyed in the fire that ripped through Building No. 16 in The Harbours Apartments on Hall Road Aug. 31. Clinton Township Fire Marshal Steve Conroy said unattended cigarettes were the cause. Upon learning of the fire, community members immediately began collecting clothes, shoes and other essentials for those affected by the fire. Building 16 is still under repair and some residents have been moved to other areas of the complex.

Magazine Scammers Going Door-to-Door in Clinton Township
Although Clinton Township police identified several suspects in a door-to-door magazine subscription scam in early September, the suspects fled the area before any arrests could be made. Det. Capt. Richard Maierle said a warrant has been issued for one of the members of the scam ring. This information will be available to law enforcement across the country.
Dying Woman Fundraises Online to be Cryopreserved at Clinton Twp. Facility
Diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor in 2011, a 23-year-old St. Louis woman has turned to Reddit.com to help her fulfill a rather unorthodox final wish – to be cryopreserved at the Cryonics Institute in Clinton Township. The Society For Venturism, a group of cryonics supporters, has established a tax-deductible charity to help Suozzi raise the base $30,000 needed to become a member of the Clinton Township facility. She continues to fund-raise.
Tin Fish's Resident Voice Wows Judges on X-Factor With 'Hallelujah'
Singing his rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," Jeffrey Adam Gutt – known to Clinton Township audiences for his weekly performances at Tin Fish – wowed the judges of X-Factor during auditions and made it to boot camp.
