Restaurant Break-In Lands Clinton Township Man In Jail

A Clinton Township man was arrested Sunday after allegedly breaking into a Mt. Clemens restaurant.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 53-year-old Clinton Township man is charged with breaking and entering in connection with a robbery at a Mt. Clemens restaurant. Tony Pollack is accused of breaking into the Thai Orchid Restaurant on Cherry Street at about 6 a.m. Sunday.

Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene later that morning and discovered a front door had been kicked in. Several items, including a computer laptop, and about $300 in cash were reported stolen, according to police reports. The incident was captured on the restaurant’s video surveillance.

Deputies were able to get a description of the suspect. They later apprehended Pollack, who was also wanted for parole absconding. He was arraigned Monday at the 41-B District Clinton Township Court and then taken to the county jail until his next court hearing.
