Secretary of State at 16 Mile and Gratiot Reopens After Flood Damage

The Clinton Township SUPER!Center was closed in August after thieves cut and stole copper piping from the building's water line, causing flooding across the property.

The Secretary of State SUPER!Center in Clinton Township reopened Thursday, exactly one month after flood damage closed the 16 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue office.

The office was closed Aug. 28, after managers found the floor flooded with two inches of standing water.

Clinton Township police say thieves cut and stole copper piping from the outside of the building, causing water to flow onto the parking lot and into the building. The suspect or suspects also gained entry to the building and broke an interior wall in the bathroom.
